Have a Staycation at These Lansing-Area Bed and Breakfasts

Although the winter has been mild this year, that doesn't matter, we're ready to get out and explore. Doing a staycation for the family at a hotel with a pool is a solid idea. Booking a room at a bed and breakfast for you and the love of your life could be just what you and your significant other need.

Along the shores of Lake Michigan, southwest Michigan has plenty of options for bed and breakfasts. When I was 20 I worked at a bed and breakfast called Gordon Beach Inn in Union Pier, Michigan. Gordon Beach Inn is still in business however the restaurant is now called The Grove. When I worked there it was called Jenny's. That was my first experience at a bed and breakfast, I was a sous chef. I always thought it was cool that guests had a nice room to stay in, a romantic dinner at night and breakfast included the next morning.

Mid Michigan and the Lansing area has bed and breakfasts that you can check out. Book a staycation! For those new to the life of staycationing, Merriam-Webster defines "staycation" simply as:

a vacation spent at home or nearby

Now you're in the know, let's give you some options about bed and breakfasts that are local to the Lansing area. Some will have options for dinner dining as well as the breakfast you get with your room.

Last year I stayed in a bed and breakfast for the first time and really enjoyed it. My wife and I stayed at the English Inn in Eaton Rapids last summer.
