Heat Is Building, So Is The Chance Of Severe Weather
We haven't hit 90 degrees yet this summer, but warm air is moving in, giving us our best shot at hot weather. But, as the temperature increases, so do the severe weather chances. According to this article at mlive.com, Mid-Michigan has the potential of seeing damaging winds this afternoon through Friday morning. For fellow weather geeks and storm watchers, the bad news for you is you likely won't see a lot of the action, aside from any lightning that comes along with the potential storms. Our best chance to see severe thunderstorms is overnight through early Friday morning. The good news for everybody: the warm weather settles for the weekend, and we're likely to only see isolated storms. The weekend is expected to be steamy, but widespread weather events are unlikely. As always, if you capture storm pics or videos, feel free to share them here or on our Facebook page.
