If You’re Going to the Lugnuts Game in Lansing Tonight, You’ll See a Hero

Retired Colonel Gilbert G. Holmes of Holt will throw out the first pitch tonight at the Lansing Lugnuts game at Cooley Law School Stadium.

Col. Holmes joined the US Army after graduating from Eastern High School in 1935. He served our nation in World War II, the Korean and Vietnam wars before retiring in 1975.

Col. Holmes was nominated to receive a LAFCU Community Champion honor for his forty years of service. He'll throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the game tonight.

LAFCU is taking Community Champion nominations for active and duty and veteran members of our military.
