WILX.com is reporting that Ingham County Animal Control is reversing their strategy when it comes to pet owners getting their furry friends fixed.

In years past, when pet owners purchased licenses for their unsterilized dogs, they would pay more than owners of fixed dogs, to promote the sterilization of pets in the county. Now, the fees will actually be lowered as officials hope that lower fees will more easily allow owners to afford to have their dogs fixed.

Dogs over four months old in Ingham County are required by law to be licensed. For the full details on licensing fees and the reduced costs, visit this link to WILX.com
