Irish Restaurant Shuts Down
It is always hard when you see a local restaurant or bar closing down for good. But the news of Claddagh Irish Pub in the Eastwood Towne Center closing down for good was shocking to those of us who love that place.
They had the BEST fish, their burgers were amazing and the beer was fabulous. Then the fact that you could eat outside on their patio and watch the world go by at the Eastwood Towne Center, well it just made for a perfect day and meal.
Their fish and chips were the best that I had found in this area, and their 'scotch eggs' were to die for.
Claddagh Irish Pub was not only known for their delicious food, but the service was always the best from the Manager on down. I am still in shock that I can't stop by for one more meal, but they closed very suddenly.
The shocking news came out earlier this week that the popular chain restaurant would be closing their doors permanently. Throughout the pandemic, the company's corporate team did not want them to open, even following guidelines. They also didn't have curb side pick up.
The news of the closure was announced on the company's Facebook page, where it read "Covid-19 has claimed another Greater Lansing Restaurant." The company said back in March that "they would be suspending operations until further notice."
Wednesday the news came down from Claddagh's corporate team that they would not be reopening and that management and staff wanted to thank all their loyal friends for stopping in over the years.
