Soon Michigan Fans Can Watch Detroit Sports On Amazon Prime
Sometimes watching sports can become one of the most nerve-racking things on the planet while also being one of the most amazing times one could have. Once upon a time the only way you could watch a sporting event is if you were there in person or able to create the image in your own head while listening on the radio. Now, you're able to watch the game from home, stream it on various apps, or watch highlights posted on social media.
Not too long ago, Fox Sports sold their regional broadcast branches which were all over the country to Bally Sports. This would take over linear TV and streaming services of channels like Fox Sports Detroit who bring regional fans their local TV. So many sports have been making their way over to ESPN which has caused blackouts while Bally sports hasn't been reliable enough to stream games consistently. With that being said, Amazon is coming in to make changes to the game.
Last year, Diamond Sports Group filed for bankruptcy which leaves 37 NBA, NHL, and MLB teams and their media rights in jeopardy as they were about to be left with no one to stream their games. Now, Amazon will come in to save the day and I'm not 100% sure but I would think that you will be able to access Detroit games from anywhere in the country.
