There are a few things I'm known for: always ordering a Long Drink (love you LD <3), being late (I'm working on being better), and always being tired. I take at least 2 naps a day and I'm constantly yawning. I love my naps but there's no doubt there are better ways to spend my time.

However, according to this study, it may not be my fault, but it may be my wall's fault.

Findings

Sleep Junkies' study found a variety of results including:

  • The preferred bedroom setup is
    • Having your bed on the main wall with the door on one sidewall and a window on the other, TV at your feet)
  • How many respondents make their bed in the mornings (70% do),
  • How room cleanliness affects one's sleep (clean room = better sleep),
  • How bed size correlates to restfulness (bigger doesn't mean better).

In their "Snooze Hues" section, they found that wall color can have an impact on sleep. Neutral colors like white, beige, and gray are among the most common room colors. Turns out that respondents with neutral colors especially beige stated they did not tend to sleep well.

However, respondents with purple walls reported having the best sleep, which makes sense since purple is known to have a calming effect on the psyche.
