Lent starts soon, which means fish fry season is almost up on us!

Varieties of fish vary and include walleye, pollock, and hake - and even mahi mahi or shrimp tacos. Some organizations offer a baked fish option in addition to fried. You'll find different sides like French fries, baked potato, coleslaw, dinner rolls, applesauce, hush puppies, and more.

For the kiddos, many spots will offer mac and cheese, grilled cheese, or pizza. In addition, at many of the fish fries children under five are free.
