A recent winner on The Food Network TV show "Guy's Grocery Games" works at a restaurant here in Michigan.

If you're not familiar with Guy's Grocery Games, chefs compete against each other inside Guy Fieri's "Flavortown Market". They'll have to race through the store and shop for the items for their dishes and then prepare them, all while have wacky challenges thrown at them. For example, they may only be able to shop in certain aisles, stay under a certain budget, or have must-use "whammy" ingredients.

The chef who wows the judges and beats out all the others then has a choice - they can dash through the store and grab items that are the answers to trivia questions, possibly winning up to $20K, or take a mystery check without knowing the exact amount.

Well, Chef Justin Paruszkiewicz of Sister Lakes Brewing Company in Dowagiac, Mich. took home $16,500!

He's second from left in blue in Food Network's below post to Instagram.

The episode of Guy's Grocery Games aired on Wednesday, January 3 at 9p.m. It will re-air Sunday, January 7 at 7p.m.

It's Season 34, Episode 8 One-Stop Speed Shop:

Guy Fieri invites four chefs to break the world shopping speed record as they grab everything they'll need to make two complete meals in a single four-minute shop. To make things even more twisted, the chefs must grab a "must-use" red light special ingredient mid-shop. After the chefs cook a weeknight favorite, Guy insists they make an upscale dinner with what they have left, plus one more item from a designated aisle chosen at random. The winning chef will have an opportunity to speed shop Flavortown Market for up to $20,000.

Sister Lakes Brewing opened in 2016 at 92500 County Road 690 in Dowagiac.
