New Study Reveals Michigan’s Favorite Fast Food French Fries
For many Americans, fast food is a normal part of life. 1 in 3 Americans get fast food at least once a week, according to the CDC. However, since fast food prices have been soaring lately, part of that experience must be ensuring that your side is up to par, and the most common side to have is french fries.
That lovely, crispy potato slice of goodness (unless you get a cold, sad, soggy limp fry. Then it just leaves you sad). A survey was recently taken, and we now know which fast food restaurant's french fries are the most popular in Michigan.

The results of this survey were pretty one-sided. To the shock of only a few, McDonald's absolutely dominated the survey, taking a Big Mac-sized 43% of the popular vote. The follow-up results were not even close, with:
- Chick-fil-A took second with 10% of the vote
- Five Guys took third with 9% of the vote
- Wendy's took fourth with 8% of the vote
- Burger King took fifth with 5% of the vote.
The survey also found that 83% of Americans eat French Fries at least once per month, with 41% saying they consume fast food fries on a weekly basis. The survey also found that Ranch dressing was the most popular dipping sauce (outside of ketchup), which is such a Michigan response it's almost embarrassing.
We Michiganders will put Ranch on anything.
You can view the other findings of the survey here, but for now, It looks like McDonald's is King, despite the title of its competitor.
