Whether it is automobiles, soda, work boots, pizza, or potato chips, Michigan makes a lot of great products right here in the state. The Mitten produces a lot of great snacks that are enjoyed all over the country like Better Made Potato chips.

From all the flavors Faygo has to offer, to Vernors which is sometimes used by Michiganders as a home remedy for an upset stomach, there is no shortage of enjoyable liquid snacks.

Michigan is a leader in cherry production which also hosts the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City. Nothing like a cherry pie that is made in Michigan.

There are also all those delicious flavors of Hudsonville Ice Cream to choose from.

Let's not forget about all the Detroit-style pizza that is available in Michigan. Plus, several of the major pizza chains like Jetts, Little Caesars, Hungry Howies, Dominoes, and more all come from the Great Lakes state.

We can't forget Mackinac Island Fudge, plus Sanders Candies are made in Michigan too. I am only scratching the surface of all the great snacks that are made in Michigan, but there is one snack that reigns supreme over all the others and it is based on a product that was made here for many years.

What is Michigan's Favorite Snack Food?

A new study from Hubscore sought to find the top snack food in each state. It involved narrowing down the picks to the top 20 trending snacks, then identifying which snacks were searched for the most in each state.

In terms of the entire U.S., seven snack foods dominate. They are: Doritos, Cheetos, Fritos, Lays, Chex Mix, Cheerios, and Rice Krispies Treats. So which is tops here in Michigan?

Not only is Kellog Rice Krispies Treats the number one snack in Michigan where they were created but also the top snack food for the entire United States and recently overtook Doritos as America's top choice.
