MSP Trooper Hangs Onto Suspect’s Car As He Flees A Traffic Stop
A traffic stop on Sunday by a Michigan State Police trooper ended with the suspect taking off with the officer hanging onto the suspect's vehicle.
Body cam footage has now been released showing the entire incident.

The body cam video starts with an MSP Trooper pulling over a vehicle and the trooper asking for their license, registration, and proof of insurance.
As the suspect is looking for his ID and other requested paperwork the trooper smells marijuana and asks the suspect "do you have marijuana burning right now?"
To which the suspect replied "Yes". That's when the officer told the suspect to "step out".
The suspect complied with the officer and opened his door and stepped out.
The Trooper pats down the suspect to make sure they don't have anything on them.
The Trooper then asks the suspect to walk to the back of the car.
Once they reach the back of the car, the trooper talks to the suspect more about him smoking marijuana while driving.
The suspect dials someone he knows telling them to come to where he's at.
After explaining to the suspect it's against the law to smoke marijuana while driving she also informed him that she clocked him going 92 MPH down U.S. 127.
The suspect starts talking on his phone and turns away from the officer heading towards his car.
The trooper yells at the suspect to turn around and once again stand at the back of the car.
The suspect once again walks away towards his car, but this time as he attempts to enter the trooper tries to grab him. The suspect is able to get in the car and put it into gear.
The trooper tried to stop him by jumping inside the driver's window as the suspect took off.
For about half a mile, the suspect kept driving at speeds near 100 mph with the trooper hanging out the window telling him to stop.
Soon after the trooper fell off and suffered some minor injuries but will be ok.
MSP Arrest Suspect Who Dragged Tooper Fleeing Traffic Stop
The suspect was identified as Tavion Beasley, he was later arrested and arraigned on charges of Assault with Intent to Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Assault of a Police Officer Causing Injury.
He is being held at the Jackson County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
