Southwest Michigan City Hosting Unique Nighttime Lighted St Patrick’s Day Parade and Drone Show
If you're not too far gone on green beer than the city of Coloma has a St. Patrick's Day evening unlike any you've ever experienced before.
The city is teaming up with hometown drone show producer Starlight Aerial Productions to host an evening lighted parade and drone show that sounds like it could rival a 4th of July celebration.
The city has announced the celebration which will take place on Saturday March 16, 2024. Beginning at 8PM a lighted parade will troop down Paw Paw Street, the main drag through downtown Coloma.
Immediately following the parade the drone show starts. It's expected to run 14 minutes. While a press release on the event does not indicate what will be down during the drone show, it's not hard to speculate we may see the drones form the shape of common St Patrick's Day themed items like a shamrock and rainbow with a pot of gold.
Recommended viewing for the drone show will be between Badt Drive and Center Street with synchronized music playing near Coloma City Hall at 119 N. Paw Paw.
The map below shows the parade route in red and recommended drone viewing area in green.
You may already be familiar with the work of Starlight Aerial Productions. The company produced the viral Detroit Lions drone show during the 2024 NFL playoffs.
The Coloma-based drone show providers are booked for a busy 2024 summer including shows in Kentucky, Texas and Florida in addition to an extensive list of aerial spectaculars around Michigan.
