Check Out These Things You Cannot Donate to Goodwill!
We all know obviously it's not spring or spring cleaning time, but fall is coming and we do tend to purge our homes again of unwanted "stuff."
But, think about it, you don't want to just dump your "stuff" so it goes to a landfill, right? You'd like your "stuff" to find a new home with the hope someone else will find a use for it.
So, what are you to do with it?
If you are like many of us you drive to the Goodwill donation center nearest you and hand it off to a friendly worker happy to take your "stuff" so it will be useful to someone else.
But, be careful, because there are many items that Michigan and Grand Rapids Goodwill stores will not accept, so don't even bother driving these items to the store!
Here are a few of the NO NO donations to Goodwill!
UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE
MATRESSES
TUBE TV'S
PIANOS
TIRES
BATTERIES
GUNS & AMMO
MEDICAL SUPPLIES AND MEDICINE
OLD CRIBS AND CAR SEATS
You can CLICK HERE for the Greater Grand Rapids Goodwill website to find their entire list of banned items.
Of course Goodwill appreciates all donations, but as they state on their website, they simply can not accept the listed items due to safety, legal or environmental concerns.
However, you certainly can donate things like gently used clothes, shoes, books, jewelry, housewares, toys, and more.
