From Non-athlete To Kicker Cade Graham Shines In Michigan Clash
Over the weekend, the University of Michigan football team took on the Central Michigan Chippewa and defeated them in a completely lopsided 63 to 3 beatdown.
That score wasn’t really unexpected, but possibly one of the most unexpected things to come out of the game came from the most unlikely person playing that day.

The Kicker for Central, Cade Graham, was the only person to score for Central Michigan, hitting a field goal from 22 yards out. It was an easy kick, but the most surprising part about it is that Cade has barely ever played any football in his entire life.
That’s no exaggeration, as he spent the first three years at Central not playing any sports at all. But it was during COVID in 2020 when he got bored and went to the football field and started kicking footballs through the field goal post for fun.

It was after he did this that he realized he was actually getting pretty good at it and could kick it from really far away and still make the ball between the goal posts.
It wasn’t until last year when he tried out for Central Michigan football that he made the team as the backup kicker, and now this year, he is the starting kicker for the team.
Incredibly, a kid who went to college to get his health and physical education major, to work in the university's athletics department, is now the starting kicker for the team.
Keep in mind, Cade never even played high school football. It just goes to show what you’re able to accomplish if you set your mind to it and try something new when you’re bored.
