The food, the rides, the entertainment--it's a feast for the senses, and it's back: The Ingham County Fair. What started as a street fair on the courthouse lawn has evolved into an annual tradition that draws tens of thousands throughout the course of a week. This year marks the 170th anniversary of one of the area's most anticipated events.

If you want to save a few bucks, I recommend getting your tickets online. General admission tickets to the Ingham Country for adults ages 13-61 are $8 when purchased on the Ingham County Fair website versus $10 at the gate.

Seniors (ages 62 and older) and children ages 3-12 can also save with an e-ticket. Admission is $6 online and $7 at the gate.

Single Day and Mega Bands Offer Unlimited Rides at Ingham County Fair

For those seeking more thrills than calories, the Ingham County Fair has something special for you. Their ride partner, Skerbeck Entertainment Group, is offering unlimited single-day ride wristbands for $30 at the gate ($25 if purchased online before noon on July 29th).

Mega Bands are good for unlimited rides EVERY DAY OF THE FAIR and can be purchased for $90. For premium rides like "Top Gun," single-day and mega band holders will also require 4 tickets in addition to their bands.
