This Lansing Car Wash Wants to Scare You Clean
I may owe my dog an apology.
I've been calling bath time "nothing to be scared of." Now there's a Lansing car wash where I can get my vehicle cleaned while someone deliberately sprays water at me while simultaneously scaring the change out of my cup holder.

Suddenly, I'm seeing my dogs point.
What to Expect at Lansing's Tunnel of Terror

Tommy's Express Car Wash turns its wash tunnel into the Tunnel of Terror, with costumed employees, jump scares, and spooky music. The whole experience lasts about three minutes.
Three minutes may not sound like a long time, until you're sitting behind a soap-filled window wondering whether that shape outside is a person or a brush.

At least a haunted car wash gives me something to show for screaming. Most haunted attractions send me home with the same dirty vehicle I arrived in.
Lansing Haunted Car Wash Dates, Hours, and Cost

Here's the schedule for the Tunnel of Terror at Tommy's Express Car Wash's South Cedar Street location:
- Where: 6415 S. Cedar St., Lansing, Michigan
- Dates: Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, 2026
- Hours: 7-10 p.m. both nights
- Price: $25 for members and nonmembers
- Presale deal: Buy tickets onsite in advance for $5 off
Tommy's Express Car Wash cautions that parents may want to use some judgment with younger kids or anyone who isn't a fan of jump scares. I'm picturing myself confidently pulling in, then making a noise my family will bring up every Halloween until I die.

Clean car. Humiliated driver. I'd better pick up a treat for my dog. We have some things to discuss.
