Snow’s Coming to Mid-Michigan This Weekend — Because Why Not?
Just when you thought it was safe to leave the house without 14 layers of clothing — bam! Michigan slaps you in the wind-blown face with snow. Mid-Michigan, including Lansing, Jackson, and surrounding areas, is on Mother Nature's naughty list this weekend. The first flurries of the season will likely show up just in time to ruin your plans and your mood.

The National Weather Service: "Light Snow Possible"
According to the National Weather Service (who love to toy with our emotions), Lansing's looking at highs near 40°F on Sunday and lows dipping down to 25°F. There's a "chance of rain and snow showers" Sunday afternoon, and a "chance of snow showers" Sunday night — translation: probably snow, definitely cold, and purely Michigan.
The Weather Channel: The Drama Queen of Forecasts
The Weather Channel isn't going full "brace yourself" mode yet. Saturday's high hits 46°F, dipping to 32°F overnight. Sunday's a brisk 37°F by day and 23°F by night, with up to an inch of snow expected. You know, just enough to make everyone forget how to drive again.
News 10: "Big Changes Are Coming"
Our friends at WILX are hinting that this weekend marks the start of colder, windier, and generally less fun weather. They haven’t dropped official snow totals yet — they do say there’s a good chance of snow, though, whether the ground will be cold enough for it to stick is up for debate.
So... Is It Time to Break Out the Winter Gear?
Absolutely (unless you're the person who wears shorts year-round). You won't need the full snow armor yet, but that jacket you swore you'd never see again before December? Yeah, it's time.
