Michigan Workers Struggling: New Survey Reveals Startling Stress Levels
If you've had a job in Michigan for more than a year, you've experienced it: the kind of day at work that makes you long for the comfort of your sweatpants, the familiar feel of your spot, and the ever-increasing longing for Friday. If you feel this way more than usual, you're not alone. Michigan was revealed as one of America's top 5 states for burnout.

Do people in other states experience the same work-related stress levels we do in Michigan? The short answer is yes, but Michigan is among the country's top five most stressed-out states, according to a new survey conducted by VoiceNation.
Overwhelming Majority of Michigan's Workforce Considers Quitting Due to Stress
VoiceNation surveyed 1,500 workers between the ages of 18 and 65 across the United States, and a whopping 70% admitted to not only feeling stressed but also 'burned out.' Workers between the ages of 18 and 25 were revealed to be the most impacted by workplace-elated angst (77%).
Michigan's middle management experiences the most burnout (76%), followed by the executive level (74%). Why are the majority of Michigan's workforce feeling overwhelmed and stressed out?
Michigan's Workforce Feels the Weight of 'Excessive Workloads'
Companies in Michigan and around the United States are always looking for ways to do more with less. For the Mitten State, that means employees are being asked to do more work, more often than not, without additional compensation. These and other factors led to 56% of respondents admitting to working after hours, on weekends, and holidays.
