Josh and Jase Get a Rude Awakening Wearing Michigan Gear in Ohio
If you have lived in Michigan long enough, you already know the rivalry with Ohio can get a bit ridiculous.
Nobody seemed to warn Josh and Jase about this.
The British social media creators, who spent much of the year traveling across Michigan, finally made their way into Ohio and quickly learned that wearing Michigan gear south of the border can get you some attention.
Josh and Jase Learn a Lesson About Michigan Gear
Josh posted that he walked into a gas station wearing a Detroit Pistons hat when someone warned him that he probably shouldn't be wearing it around there.
Josh said that put the fear of God into him.
Let's keep in mind, too, that this wasn't even a Michigan Wolverines hat. It was simply Pistons gear.
Things somehow got even better from there.
Why Ohio Crosses Out the Letter M
Josh also discovered that some Ohio residents apparently prefer not to even say the word Michigan, instead referring to us as "the place up north."
He compared the whole thing to Voldemort from Harry Potter, joking that Michigan had basically become "he who shall not be named."
Honestly, that might be one of the better explanations of the rivalry.
The two also noticed something Michigan fans are probably familiar with around Ohio State territory: crossing out the letter M.
Josh and Jase spotted M's crossed out on signs throughout the area, including places where you wouldn't expect to find them either.
Even the fire departments weren't safe.
Josh and Jase Have Traveled All Over Michigan
The pair has already traveled extensively throughout Michigan, visiting places like Detroit, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Holland, Traverse City, Mackinac Island and the Upper Peninsula.
Their Michigan-Ohio education isn't over yet, either.
Josh and Jase say they plan to return this fall for the Michigan-Ohio State game on November 28.
