Major Retailer Shutting 150 Stores Nationwide - Michigan is on the List

Macy's, a name that’s been around forever, seems to be on shaky ground. Back in February, they let the world know they were closing 150 underperforming stores over the next three years, with a good chunk—50 of them—closing their doors by the end of 2024.

Some workers have even turned to Reddit, on a thread called “MacysStores,” to swap rumors and fears.

It’s tough to see a retail giant like Macy’s struggling like this, especially when you consider how many communities these stores are a part of.

But with everything going online and competition from discount chains, it feels like Macy’s just can’t catch a break. For the workers, it's a waiting game, but for the company, it seems like they're bracing for a long-term battle to stay relevant.
