Hammond’s Candies has issued a recall for its Dark Chocolate Filled Mini Waffle Cones due to a serious allergen mislabeling issue. These treats, packaged in 4-ounce resealable bags with a UPC of 6 91355 90513 5, could pose a significant risk for individuals with milk allergies.

Two specific product codes are affected: LN0525453 with Use By dates of 03/20/2025 and 05/20/2025. You can find this information printed on the lower-center part of the bag, so be sure to double-check if you have these in your pantry.

This recall comes after one reported allergic reaction, which prompted an investigation by the company. Testing revealed that the product contains milk proteins, something not listed on the label.

While most of us may not think twice about hidden ingredients, for someone with a milk allergy, it can be life-threatening. It’s alarming that even a small amount of undisclosed allergens can cause such a reaction, which makes this recall all the more important to pay attention to.
