10 Restaurants and More That Lansing Lost in 2023
Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever. Sometimes we have to say goodbyes to places we love before we fee like we're ready.
That's how I felt about multiple restaurant closures this year in Lansing.
Lansing Restaurants That Closed in 2023
Whether it was due to lack of staff, increased costs due to inflation, or just never truly recovering after Covid, Lansing residents had to say goodbye to multiple restaurants and more this year.

Thankfully, Lansing has a wonderful foodie scene with plenty of restaurants on the horizon. But before the year is out, let's take a look at some of the restaurants and more that we lost in 2023.
Tannin in Lansing
Tannin closed in early August.
Atomic Taco in the Meridian Mall in Okemos
Atomic Taco closed prior to mid-July.
The Grid Arcade & Bar in Old Town Lansing
The Grid had their "last call" on October 21st.
The Original Goodfellas Bagel Deli in Downtown Lansing
Goodfellas closed their OG location in early January 2023.
YaYa's Flame Broiled Chicken in Lansing
YaYa's closed very suddenly in mid-June.
Pappa Roti in East Lansing
Pappa Roti closed sometime before June 2023.
Merindorf Meats in Williamston
Merindorf's last day was September 24th.
Black Cat Bistro in East Lansing
The Black Cat Bistro had its last day on September 17th.
Arcadia Smokehouse in Lansing
Arcadia closed sometime before April 29th, according to the Lansing subreddit.
Grand Traverse Pie Company in Downtown Lansing
The Downtown Lansing location of Grand Traverse Pie Company closed on August 24th.
