Why Is Bass Pro Shops Building a New Location in Lansing?

Building a new location in Lansing seems to make perfect sense strategically for the company. It positions the new store not only to draw in visitors from the local vicinity, but also to catch travelers as they pass through the Lansing area on their way to some of Michigan's most popular hunting, fishing, and camping destinations.

Bass Pro Shops plans the new location to be a "tribute to the great sporting heritage of the region and a celebration of the sportsmen and women of Michigan," promising to "design the store’s localized imagery to reinforce its immersive outdoor theme". No two locations are exactly the same.
