Batteries + Bulbs Replacing Former Rite Aid Near Frandor
The old Rite Aid location near Lansing's Frandor Shopping Center is getting a new lease on life.
Batteries + Bulbs plans to open a location on the corner of East Saginaw Street and North Clippert Street in Lansing later this year.
Why Rite Aid Closed Its Doors in Michigan
The Frandor Shopping Center made the announcement via social media on Wednesday. The building had been vacant since Rite Aid closed all of its Michigan locations in 2024 amidst bankruptcy proceedings.

Batteries + Bulbs had operated a small store nearby between Jude's Barbershop and Front 43 Neighborhood Pub on East Saginaw Street. The new store will allow for more product offerings.
What Batteries + Bulbs Offers Customers
Most Batteries + Bulbs locations offer exactly what the store's name implies - everything from watch batteries to car batteries, and pretty much any kind of light bulb one might need for home, yard, or automobile.
Some locations also offer cell phone repair services, key fob repair and replacement, as well as car key duplication. There's been no official confirmation as to what the new Frandor location will include among its offerings, but most Batteries + Bulbs stores with storefronts the size of the new location offer all of those services.

When Will the New Store Open?
An opening date for the new location has not yet been announced.
