I know I'm about to catch all kinds of flack for this as a Michigander, but I'm ready for summer to be over.
I'm sorry! I get it... The beauty of summer in Michigan is truly like nowhere else. Plus, it's filled with ice cream cones, berry picking, and lake swims on hot, sunny days, and a whole lot more. I know that there is a certain kind of magic surrounding summers in Michigan.
Why I'm Ready for Fall in Michigan
However, I'm ready for fall.
And not only am I ready for fall to begin, but if I had to choose, I would say that fall is Michigan's best season.
Sure, spring has its gorgeous blooms that bring the life back after a long, cold Michigan winter. And summer is perfect for hitting the lake and making the most of the long days. Even Michigan's winter has its beauty with how magical and serene it can be after a fresh snowfall.
But spring is also grey and muddy, summers are humid and too hot, and winters can be brutal.
Why Fall Is Michigan's Best Season
The beauty of fall in Michigan is that it’s pretty much perfect all around—the weather is temperate (can you say hoodie season?), the foliage is gorgeous, the eats are delicious, and football season has arrived!
But those aren't the only things to love about the best season Michigan has to offer. Check out the gallery below and you'll be wishing for fall and cooler weather in no time.
