Lansing’s Newest Fast-Casual Eatery Has Opened Near Frandor

Are you hungry? There's a new restaurant open in Lansing!

This tale goes back to the sudden and sad closure of YaYa's Flame Broiled Chicken on Saginaw just north of Frandor. YaYa's Chicken closed back in June of 2023.

However, Lansing foodies didn't have to wait long to find out what might be filling the whole in our hearts and bellies that YaYa's Chicken left behind.

Lansing found out that this small Michigan-based chain restaurant would be taking over back in May (2024) But at that time, there was only a vague idea of when they would be open. Now, the wait is over. The doors are open and the grill is hot.

Lansing food lovers are already posting about this new fast-casual eatery in Facebook groups; the Lansing Foodies and the Lansing Chowhounds. And they're saying some positive things so far!

I wanted to give you a little sneak peek inside at what you can expect.

First of all, be prepared for it to look COMPLETELY different from YaYa's Chicken. Not in a bad way, mind you. Just contrasting as far as color schemes.

However, like YaYa's Chicken, Big Moe's has fully embraced the Spartan Nation vibes with the interior.

And we can't forget what we're really here for: the food.

Looking at the menu, there is a wide range of items; salads, wings, sandwiches, wraps, and bowls. All served with a good variety of proteins, toppings and sauces. The brisket fries and the chipotle chicken shawarma sandwich sounded particularly good!

Big Moe's Kitchen isn't the only new eatery in that area. A Jersey Mike's opened in mid August. And soon, Middle Eats will open in the former Lefty's Cheesesteaks.

Basically, Frandor is the place to be if you're hungry. That's if you can survive the parking lot...
