One National Chain Restaurant Has Closed All of Its Michigan Locations
After recent closures of two locations, there are no longer any locations in Michigan of one restaurant in particular.
Restaurants close all the time, but not all close as abruptly and without fanfare as this one.
Restaurant Closures in Michigan
According to Detroit Free Press, the national chain Buca di Beppo has closed all its Michigan locations.
There were two locations for this Italian, family-style chain in the Mitten State; one in Utica on Hall Road and one in Livonia on Six Mile. Both locations are listed as "permanently closed" according to Google. And if you go to Buca di Beppo's website, there are no Michigan locations listed. The closest one to Michigan is in Strongsville, Ohio.
The Utica location is believed to have closed sometime in June, and the Livonia location closed within the last week of July, according to a post made on Facebook to the All Things Livonia group.

Chain or not, it's always sad to see a restaurant go, especially one that had been in the community for so long. The Livonia location had been around for 25 years.
Michigan isn't the only state to loose Buca di Beppo locations. According to Restaurant Business, the Italian restaurant closed a grand total of 13 locations that were still struggling post pandemic. California, Utah, Pennsylvania, and New York all saw locations close permanently.
Buca di Beppo isn't the only chain restaurant to close its doors in the Livonia area recently. The first Chicken Guy restaurant that Guy Fieri opened in Michigan closed abruptly and permanently at the end of June. This spot was located on Plymouth Road in Livonia.
