Longtime Lansing Flower Shop Closes After Nearly 50 Years
Lansing has lost another longstanding business.
Lansing Business Closures
After nearly 50 years in business, Delta Flowers on Lansing's west side has officially closed its doors.
Laura, the former owner, announced on the business's Facebook page on Monday, August 4. As of now, the page remains active as Laura hopes to help her staff find new opportunities.
A Message From the Owner of Delta Flowers
Here's what Laura had to say about the closure:
I am sorry for any inconvenience but we are now CLOSED after 47 years in business, 24 years with me as owner. This has been a very tough time under the circumstances. Thank you so much for your loyalty, love, tears & laughter! I will miss you all!
In previous posts to the business's Facebook page, Laura had announced a temporary closure on July 3rd, with a hope to open again soon. Additionally, she mentioned in comments that the business had been closed since June 18th, noting that she needed to find a florist.

Delta Flowers provided arrangements and gifts in times of celebration and bereavement. And with their closing this marks the second flower shop closure in Lansing this year.
Another Lansing Florist Closed Earlier This Year
In June this year, Jon Anthony Florist on Michigan Avenue closed its doors after 84 years of service.
