There are a lot of ways to pay tribute to Dolly Parton. Playing her music. Watching 9 to 5. Maybe breaking out enough hairspray to single-handedly punch another hole in the ozone layer.

Or, apparently, you can carve Dolly into 6.5 acres of Michigan corn.

And I absolutely love this.

Michigan Corn Maze Pays Tribute to Dolly Parton

Robinette's Apple Haus & Winery near Grand Rapids is getting ready to open its annual corn maze on September 1, and this year's design celebrates the late country music legend in a pretty spectacular way. From the air, the maze features Dolly — big hair and all — along with a guitar, musical notes, and her famous butterfly.

What makes it even more special? This wasn't something thrown together after Dolly's death on August 24. This tribute was already planned.

Dolly Parton Approved the Corn Maze Before Her Death

Robinette's is one of 20 farms across North America participating in a special country music corn maze project celebrating the 31st anniversary of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Dolly herself knew about the project, approved it, and even recorded a video promoting the mazes before her passing.

Now, what was supposed to be a celebration has understandably become so much more.

When Does Robinette’s Dolly Parton Corn Maze Open?

The maze opens September 1 at 10 a.m. Admission is $8.50 through September 4, then $10.50 after that. Toddlers 2 and under are free. A portion of every ticket sold will benefit Dolly Parton's Imagination Library locally through Early Bird Books.

A Michigan Fall Tradition Since 1911

Robinette's has been a West Michigan tradition since 1911, so you can make a whole fall day of it with apples, cider, donuts, and other seasonal activities.

9 Times Dolly Parton Sang About Heaven and Her Faith

Dolly Parton has an extensive catalog of music from her decades in the genre. And while there are several big hits like "Jolene" and "9 to 5," it's the songs about her faith that she might have loved the most.

Parton was open about her love for Jesus, and she often sang about it, weaving in beautiful imagery of what Heaven would be like one day.

She kept her faith on her sleeve until the day she passed, finally getting to where she was going.
