There are two more restaurants that Lansing has to say goodbye to.

Lansing Restaurants

While Lansing may be experiencing some growth when it comes to restaurant openings this year, that doesn't mean there haven't been closings.

Sadly, two more places have shut their doors, neither of which made any announcement.

Happy's Pizza on South Cedar

One of those restaurant closures is Happy's Pizza on South Cedar.

That Happy's Pizza location has been listed as temporarily closed for several weeks now. However, in a recent social media post made by Paradise Restaurant Auctions, they say that "Happy's Pizza is closing its doors and everything must go".

Capo's Cheesesteak Hoagies & Grill

The other restaurant that has closed its doors is Capo's Cheesesteak Hoagies & Grill in Downtown East Lansing.

Capo's first opened in November 2021 and served up hoagies for a few years. However, there is no word on exactly when the doors shut. But, when you take a look at the most recent Google Maps image, it shows that there are "For Rent" signs in the window.

New Restaurant Moves Into Former Capo’s Space

The image was updated as of August 2025, so it's been closed for at least a couple of months. However, there is some good news in that another Lansing restaurant has taken over that space to open a second location. La Cocina  Cubana in Downtown Lansing is opening up a second spot in East Lansing at the former Capo's Cheesesteaks.
