I know that we're not in spring yet. And with Michigan, the weather can be so unpredictable. But we had our first big snow a few weeks ago, and since then, it seems like we've had rainier, spring-like weather. And that means one thing for dog owners...

I think that's something that all dog owners can relate to. If there's one time of year I truly hate, it's the spring because it is so gosh darn muddy outside. And realistically, when your dog comes in from being outside, they're probably bringing in more than just mud on their paws.

I know in my household, we have a wet/dry system, where we wipe off my dog's paws with a wet rag first and then go in with a dry one to make sure we didn't miss anything. And to make sure that we don't have brown paw prints all over the sofa.

If you're in need of a large, one-time cleanup to get you started off on the right foot, or you'd like to schedule weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly cleanups, they've got you covered there too. To save you some leg work, I've put together a list of the dog waste cleaning services in the greater Lansing area. That way your yard will be fresh and clean come this summer.

Call of Doody (love the name by the way) has been cleaning yards since 2014. There are no exact prices on the website, but they do offer an estimate based on where you're located, how many dogs you have, the frequency of when you'd like services, and when the last time was that the yard was thoroughly cleaned. My estimate was $15 a week.

In addition to taking care of dog waste, Scoops Co. will also clean up your cat's litter box and clean up after geese, too. The doggy clean-ups can be done weekly, twice weekly, three times weekly, every other week, once a month, or by one-time clean-up, and the costs vary. A weekly clean-up is $15 per week plus $5 for each additional dog. If you're interested in litter box cleanup, they offer that weekly for $30, or you could make it a combo kitty litter and dog service for $20 a week.
