One of Lansing’s Favorite Food Trucks is Leaving
Sadly, Lansing is going to have to say goodbye to one of its favorite food spots.
News about this farewell came from a knowledge source when it comes to the Lansing food scene; the Lansing Chowhounds Facebook group. That's where I saw the news shared from a beloved Lansing food truck.
Lansing Business Closures in 2025
Lansing is saying goodbye to local favorite, Eato Chef.
Eato Chef is an Airstream turned food truck that sets up shop outside of Horrocks Farm Market on Lansing's west side.

For over four years now, Eato Chef has been lighting fire under woks and serving up some of Lansing's favorite pad Thai and other Southeast Asian street food.
Eato Chef in Lansing is Closing
However, Eato Chef has announced it's departure in a very heartfelt Facebook post.
The owners of Eato Chef have decided to take their food truck to warmer pastures.
Eato Chef food truck is going to be relocating to Florida by the end of this month.
No offense against Michigan and the love it receives from Lansing, but it seemed that every winter in Michigan had some kind of struggle for this food truck; a pipe bursting or a heater breaking. They opened in the midst of Covid, but despite that, it seems like the winters are what's doing them in.
When is Eato Chef Leaving Lansing?
Lansingites are very sad at this departure, as evidenced by the hundreds of reactions and comments that Eato Chef's post received in just a couple of hours. But keep in mind, the owners are excited at this prospect of adventure and a fresh start.
If you really want to get your hands (and taste buds) on some of their delicious food before they're gone, Eato Chef will be open for two more weeks!
