What Happened to These Two Lansing Rally’s Locations?
When it comes to the food scene in the Greater Lansing area, I like to keep myself informed on what's going on. What restaurants are opening, which ones are closing, and which ones might be moving.
So, when I saw rumblings on the Lansing Foodies Facebook page about a fast food restaurant closing, I knew I needed to do some investigating.
Word on the street was that the Rally's on South MLK had closed. Not only that, but the post said, "that's 2 of 3 in town".
Two Rally’s Locations in Lansing Are Closed
I went digging through the comments and many people chimed in that the location on Oakland had closed too.
Being the curious cat/nosey Nelly that I am, I took a road trip to those specific Rally's locations today and I can confirm that they were closed even though their posted business hours said they should be open.
Not only that, but I went a step further.
The Westside Rally’s Is Still Open
I visited the Rally's on Saginaw on Lansing's Westside to confirm that they were still open. And to order fries, of course.
They were open, and while I was in the drive-thru line getting my fries, I also got the tea.

I asked the employee if he could say whether the other two locations had closed, and he said they did. He even went on to say that they can't get ahold of the other two stores, so they're not sure what's going on. But, they have definitely seen an increase in traffic at their location.
Will the Lansing Rally’s Locations Reopen?
I can't find any concrete info on what may have happened to the two closed locations. But, they definitely appeared closed when I gave them a visit today. Although there's no word on whether or not these closings are temporary or permanent.
Will we see these spots reopen to keep serving up those famous fries? Only time will tell. In the meantime, the Westside Lansing location on Saginaw is open.
