Greater Lansing Dining Guide: Restaurants to Watch for in 2025

So much has changed in the last nine months when it comes to Lansing's restaurant scene.

Sadly, we've seen some longtime favorites close their doors. Places like Spagnuolo's in Okemos and The Green Door in Lansing, both of which had been around for decades.

However, greater Lansing has also seen unprecedented restaurant growth, with over 40 different places opening their doors.

Lansing Restaurants Opening Soon

With three months left in the year, there's still more to come.

Here's a look at what's coming to the greater Lansing area. Some places are slated to open in 2025 or early 2026, others are TBD. Also note that I did not put Mochinut on the list, as it no longer appears that they'll be opening a location in East Lansing.

517 Chicken N Fries - Lansing

Opening on the northwest corner of Kalamazoo and Pennsylvania Avenue. Hoping to open within the next two to three months.

Anna's House - Delta Township

Opening day on Monday, October 27. You can find it in the former location of Tin Can West, which has since moved.

Bubbakoo's Burritos - Lansing

Taking over the former Big John's Steak & Onion north of Frandor. Opening date is TBD.

Chick-fil-A - Lansing

Opening at 6120 S Cedar Street, the former home of University Motor Mall. Plans are to open by spring 2026.

Coratti's Pizzeria Bar and Bocce - East Lansing

It's currently still under construction, with a hope to open sometime this winter.

Cuban Cuisine

This will be the second restaurant for the owner of La Cucina Cubana in Downtown Lansing. This location is opening in Downtown East Lansing on October 18.

DQ Grill & Chill - East Lansing

Opening on Trowbridge Road at the former home of PappaRoti. No opening date yet.

Eiffel Waffle - East Lansing

No word on an opening date just yet. But, we do know the location: on Bailey Street just north of Grand River Avenue, near Insomnia Cookies.

Fat Boy's Pizza - East Lansing

Opening on Ann Street near M.A.C. Avenue, no word on when though.

Gjoni's Bar & Restaurant - Okemos

Opening at the former location of Spagnuolo's in Okemos. Opening date is TBD.

MACOTTA Club - Downtown Lansing

Plans are slated for the Knapp's building in Downtown Lansing. No update on an opening date.

Not So Bland Cakes - East Lansing

Opening on Grand River Avenue, no word on when just yet.

Panda Express - Okemos

This fast-casual eatery is going into the former Wheat Jewelers building, with hopes to open in late 2025 or early 2026.

Pizzawala's - East Lansing

This Indian-inspired pizza fusion restaurant is going in on Grand River Avenue next to The Peanut Barrel. There's no opening date yet, but Pizzawala did receive permission from East Lansing to sell alcohol back in June, so that's a step forward.

RJ's Burgers & Ice Cream - East Lansing

Opening in the plaza at the northwest corner of Hagadorn Road and Grand River Avenue in East Lansing. No opening date yet.

Saroki's Crispy Chicken & Pizza - Lansing

No word on exactly when or where, just that it's coming soon to Lansing.
