Let’s Get Saucy—Michigan Made Sauces & More for Your Food

What food isn't made better with a little bit of sauce, particularly, if it's made in Michigan?

I recently had a debate with a co-worker about the proper eating technique for a bagel. He insisted that he doesn't want or need anything done to it. Doesn't want it toasted, no butter, no cream cheese, no nothing... he just bites into an everything bagel just like someone would bite into a donut. I insisted that bagels need a little bit of schmear. SOMETHING. This debate revealed the fact that I am a sauce-girlie.

I don't know if being a "sauce-girlie" is a thing, but I'm making it one.

I an the type of person that doesn't want dry food. If it's a sandwich, I want a condiment. If it's a salad, maybe a little extra dressing. Pasta, I definitely want extra sauce with that.

Grand Traverse Sauce Company makes a delicious variety of hot sauces, honey, maple syrup, and drink mixers. The best hot sauces, in my humble opinion, are the Girl Boss (pineapple habanero) and Kickstand (smoky, hot, and sweet, made with Fresno peppers).
