7 Bucket List Adventures to Have in Michigan This Summer
Despite the extreme heat, humidity, and bugs, it's the goal of just about every Michigander to get out there and soak up the most that a Michigan summer has to offer.
And Michigan summers are so bountiful!
Michigan Summer Activities
But there's not always time to do everything.
Sure, you want to swim at the beach, go blueberry and cherry picking, ride around Mackinac Island on a bike, and more. But, not everything is going to be doable.
And, as much as you don't want to hear it (and I hate saying it), fall is going to be here before we know it.
Michigan Summer Bucket List
So, now's the time to take a realistic look at how much free time you have left and take a look at this list of seven must-do Michigan summer bucket list activities.
Some of these are activities that you can do in your local community, but for some of these, you might have to take a drive to a specific place. Don’t forget the road snacks—and have fun adventuring!
#7 - Get an Ice Cream Cone From a Local Spot
Is it even summer if you don't get a scoop of Superman, Blue Moon, or Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream?
#6 - Go Stargazing at a Dark Park
Get out of the city and go somewhere where you can finally see the stars.
#5 - Pick Your Own Berries
Strawberries, blueberries, and cherries are all seemingly more delicious when you pick them yourself.
#4 - Float Down a River
Grab a tube for you to float and for your cooler to float. Bonus points if you pack a snackle box.
#3 - Visit Mackinac Island
Do the touristy thing and rent a bike, ride around the island, and eat some fudge. You might roll your eyes—but it's actually pretty fun.
#2 - Watch the Tigers Play Ball
Even better if they happen to be having a good season.
#1 - Watch the Sunset Over Lake Michigan
Ideally with your feet in the sand, an ice cream in one hand and your love's hand in the other.
