MSU Dairy Store Wins Best Ice Cream in America

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

But, not just any ice cream, oh no... We want the good stuff.

And it turns out we have some national award-winning ice cream right here in Mid-Michigan's backyard.

East Lansing, Michigan is Home to the Best Ice Cream in America

Recently, "MSU Dairy Store was named the Grand Champion of the American Dairy Science Association's 2025 Ice Cream Competition!

Now, while the MSU Dairy Store has a plethora of campus-made products available for purchase, they are perhaps most well known for their delicious selection of house-made ice cream.

I know firsthand how delicious this ice cream is, as do many Michiganders. But now it's recognized nationwide!

Plus, the ice creams all have funny, clever names that have something to do with MSU, college sports, coaches, and the like.

Meet the Award-Winning Flavors

If you want to try the flavors that helped secure this prestigious award, they took first place in two categories with these two flavors:

• Spartan Swirl - "Cake batter ice cream with cake pieces and a green frosting swirl"
• Beaumont Brownie Bliss - "Salted caramel ice cream with fudge swirl and brownie pieces"
