What Exactly is Going on in the South Lansing Meijer Parking Lot?

There is a lot of change going on in the South Lansing Meijer right now.

I needed to run a quick errand recently, and the closest place to me at that moment that had everything I needed was the South Lansing Meijer. Now, it's been some time since I've last been there, but boy do things looks super different.

Let's start with something as simple as new carts.

They have a different design, color, and everything.

Okay, now onto the bigger items.

What is Being Built in the South Lansing Meijer Parking Lot?

When did the Meijer parking lot get a Tesla charging station?

The final thing that caught my eye was a brand new building going up in the outskirts of the parking lot.

In trying to do some digging and find out what this building might be, the 517 Living Community Facebook Group gave a few suggestions. Some said it was turning into a Panda Express. Others said it was going to be a Chipotle.

I have no knowledge of what this building is going to become, so if someone has some definitive knowledge to offer, please share. But here's what I do know;

Lansing just had a brand new Panda Express opened in Eastwood Towne Center in May 2024. Here's what the building looked like once complete:

It doesn't really look like the building that is being completed at the South Lansing Meijer, but that's not to say that it couldn't still be a Panda Express. Inquiring minds want to know!
