Lansing's about to get a brand new Planet Fitness location, but it's off the beaten path—and unless you have a reason to be in the area, you might not even realize it's there.

The national chain of fitness centers already operates three locations in the greater Lansing area (in Holt, Okemos, and Delta Township), and is preparing to open a fourth on the city's north side within the coming weeks.
Where You’ll Find the New Planet Fitness
The new Planet Fitness location is nearing completion within the Heights at Eastwood lifestyle complex adjacent to Eastwood Towne Center. Basically, it's on Showtime Drive, directly across the parking lot from NCG Cinema, and a block away from Capital Prime Steaks & Seafood.
Peering through the glass doors right now only reveals a bunch of concrete and unfinished walls and floors. No workout equipment is present yet, and except for a bunch of signage around the area promising that a Planet Fitness will be "coming soon", there aren't even any traces of the company's trademark purple and yellow.
How Big Will the New Planet Fitness Location in Lansing Be?
For size comparison purposes, the Planet Fitness at the Heights at Eastwood will be just slightly smaller than Lansing's new Dave & Buster's which opened in April 2025 right around the corner.
Now Hiring: Fitness Staff Needed
The new location is currently accepting applications for fitness trainers, member services representatives and overnight closers with pay rates ranging from $13 to $16 per hour.

The new location's "Club Overview" page on the company's website doesn't reveal a planned date for its grand opening, but does invite potential patrons to sign up for updates, as well as special offers and promotions. It's expected the fitness center will be open by the end of the year.
