RJ’s Burgers & Ice Cream Is Coming to East Lansing

We have another new eatery to look forward to in the greater Lansing area!

It seems that 2025 is having a great year when it comes to eateries opening or announcing openings, and we have another one to add to that ever-growing list.

For this opening, we turn to East Lansing.

Soon, East Lansing will be home to RJ's Burgers & Ice Cream Co.

That name might sound familiar to some of you...

That's because until recently, RJ's Burgers & Ice Cream Co. went by another name: RJ's Metropolitan Ice Cream Co. and they have a very popular location in Jackson.

Where Will RJ’s Burgers Be Located?

RJ's is opening in the plaza at the northwest corner of Hagadorn Road and Grand River Avenue in East Lansing, right next to Grand Traverse Pie Company. It's taking over the space of the former Rite Aid in that plaza.

RJ's Burgers & Ice Cream Co will serve plenty of its namesake: smash burgers and 32 different flavors of hand-scooped ice cream. Take a look at some of the delicious food being served, below.

When Will RJ’s Burgers Open in East Lansing?

At this time, there is no word on when RJ's Burgers & Ice Cream Co. will be opening, just some very exciting social media posts teasing, "coming soon".

RJ's is one of multiple businesses to open an eatery in East Lansing. Mochinut recently announced a location in East Lansing with a grand opening coming soon. And Fat Boy's Pizza and Savvy Sliders are also planning locations in Downtown East Lansing.
