The restaurant scene is about to get a lot more rockin' in Southeast Michigan.

Rock & Roll-Themed Restaurant Rock & Brews Coming to Royal Oak

Rock & Brews, a restaurant co-owned by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS, is opening in Royal Oak in the former HopCat location.

Rock & Brews is a chain restaurant that got its start in 2010 and focuses on fresh and classic bar food as well as craft beers and cocktails.

Of course, everything has a rock & roll theme; from the art on the walls to the names of the food and drink. There are the South x Southwest egg rolls, the red hot chili bowl, the strawberry fields salad, and Alice Cooper's Poison burger (with Alice Cooper Poison hot sauce). They even have fun names for the food sections on the menu; desserts are the "Encores".

When Rock & Brews Opens in Royal Oak

The restaurant plans to be open to the public on Thursday, March 19. Patrons will be able to check out the 'Detroit Rock City' vibe being brought to the Royal Oak location. While Rock & Brews is a chain establishment, they focus on locally sourced food to create a unique menu for each location.

When it opens at 208 West Fifth Ave, the restaurant will feature three floors, each with a different twist. The first floor is where the dining space will be. The second floor is for live music and entertainment. And the third floor is an open-air sky lounge.
