Why Summerlands Brewing in Holt Is Worth the Hype
Have you been to this hidden gem in Holt?
Restaurants in Holt
Having a toddler, it's a rare opportunity that my husband and I get to go out for a date night, but when we do, we like to eat locally.
We had the opportunity to try out a restaurant and brewery that we had never been to before and I'd have to say... we'll definitely be back.
The place we went to was Summerlands Brewing Company in Holt.
Island Vibes in Holt
This place is all about the island vibes, from the food and drink, to the decor, both inside and outside. Even the staff were rocking Hawaiian t-shirts.

Summerlands makes everything in-house and has beer and seltzers as far as adult beverages go. They use their High Gravity Seltzer to make seltzer cocktails. We got the Hurricane seltzer and Bahama Mama, and both were top notch.
Appetizers Worth Sharing
We were especially hungry and since we had never been there before we went a little crazy when it came to appetizers: Abaco Island Coconut Shrimp, Kiawah Island Fried Pickles, and Summerlands Hush Puppies. The coconut shrimp were the best of the three. The hush puppies were good, but could have used more salt.
For the main dishes we got the Hawaiian quesadilla with huli huli chicken and the Hawaiian sausage with fries.

The only reason we had leftovers from our main dishes was because we ordered (and ate) all the appetizers.
All in all, if you're looking for a nice sit-down place with delicious food and great service, check out Summerlands Brewing Company.
