4 Festivals Not to Miss in Lansing This July
No reason to be bored this summer — Lansing's got plenty of fun events happening in July!
Here are four of our favorites.
ScrapFest
Originally conceived as a scrap metal art contest a decade and a half ago, ScrapFest has grown into a full-fledged family-friendly art festival.

Nearly four dozen sculptures will be on display along Turner Street in Lansing's Old Town on July 11-12, all of which were completely fashioned from scrap metal salvaged from a local recycling center.
Food trucks will be available, and Old Town restaurants will also be open during the event. Admission to ScrapFest is free.
Lansing Beer Fest
Raise one up!
The 11th annual Lansing Beer Fest happens along Washington Avenue in REO Town on July 12, promising samples of over 100 various beers, ciders, and more.
Tickets start at $40, with $10 "Designated Driver" tickets available. You must be 21 or older to attend, and organizers ask you to leave your pets at home.
Lansing Taco & Tequila Fest
Now in its third year, the Lansing Taco, Tequila and Margarita Fest is scheduled for July 26 at Lansing's Adado Riverfront Park.

Aptly named, this festival has nearly a dozen taco trucks lined up, and features more than 165 tequilas, margaritas, beers and ciders.
The festival will also feature live music and a host of other vendors. It's an all-ages event, but obviously you need to be 21 or older to take advantage of the alcohol offerings. Tickets start at $24.99.
JazzFest Michigan
Old Town will come alive with the sounds of jazz during JazzFest Michigan, now entering its 31st year.
The event will feature three different performance stages over the course of five days, beginning July 30 with a free kickoff concert.

Tickets start at $15 per day, with discounts available for multi-day passes.
