This Chris Stapleton Merch Proves That Spelling Is Hard Sometimes

When you go to a concert, it's probably a lot of fun, am I right?

You and a bunch of friends, or maybe you and a significant other or some family members all get together to watch one of your favorite artists take the stage for a night of magical memories. There's singing, dancing, laughing, and perhaps a couple of adult beverages along the way. But while we're the ones who have fun for a few hours on a Friday night, there's a ton more work that goes on behind the scenes prior to the show to make all that magic happen.

There are schedules that need to be hammered out, contracts to be signed, crew to be assembled, gear to be cataloged and loaded, and so much more. Even down to concert merch.

Now, you might be thinking to yourself, "concert merch, that's easy," right? Find the name(s), image(s), and design that pertinent parties agree on, print thousands of them and sell them for slightly too much money. But to be fair...having never put on a concert myself, I can't say whether that person (or persons) who made the final decision on merch has any other duties, and maybe their plate got a little too full and balls were dropped, because this is what I purchased at the Chris Stapleton concert at Comerica Park July 8th:

I bought a concert t-shirt.

As soon, as I saw the front of the shirt, I knew it was the one I had to have. The tiger in the vintage jersey sweater was so cute and the color was great too. Knowing that was the one I had to have, I stopped looking, and it was there I missed the back of the t-shirt.

One of the openers for Chris Stapleton was Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats. They're a soulful southern country band that's also rock n roll and I absolutely love them. But it's not their music genre I want you to focus on, it's the spelling of his name...Nathaniel Rateliff.

Yeah, somebody dropped the ball when it came to an artist's name.

I'm not upset. I actually think it's kinda funny. It truly is a one-of-a-kind concert t-shirt. But, might I suggest hiring a copy editor?
