Recently, a celebrity and Michigan-native made some stops in Michigan. But, why was he here?

If you haven't heard by now, sadly, it looks like you've missed him.

Which Michigan-Native Celebrity Was Recently Spotted in the Mitten State?

Michigan's own Matthew Lillard was recently spotted in Michigan. And, one of the places he was spotted at was absolutely the most perfect place he could have gone to.

Lillard is very well known for several movie roles, perhaps most notably playing Shaggy Rogers in the live action Scooby-Doo movies, as well as playing Stu Mocker, one of the ***spoilers*** villains in Scream.

Why Was Matthew Lillard in Michigan?

So, being known as Shaggy for so long, Lillard found his way to Scoopy-Doo's Old Fashioned Ice Cream, the cutest little pun-named ice cream shop in DeWitt.

He was serving up ice cream with a big dose of smiles. And just look at him rocking that Spartans hat!

Now, even though Lillard was born in Lansing, Michigan, he doesn't live here. He lives in California with his family.

So, you might be curious why he was spending time in his home state recently.

Turns out, Scoopy-Doo's wasn't the only stop he made. Lillard was in Michigan to help encourage people to vote!

Lillard shared on his Instagram that he was on Michigan State University's Campus to encourage people to vote.

Additionally, Lillard joined the Livingston County Dems in canvassing for Democrats across the ballot.
