Longtime Downtown Lansing Eatery Shutters, New Bakery Moving In
An eatery that's been in Lansing almost 15 years has officially closed its doors.
Lansing Restaurant Closures
Z!Eats, formerly Zoup!, has closed its Downtown Lansing location.
This fast-casual eatery was located at 214 S Washington Square. And, it seems to have closed very quickly and without much clarity or warning, as the location's voicemail message and website both say that the location is "currently closed for construction and remodeling."
As of Tuesday, July 22, Z!Eats had paper covering the door and windows, along with signage on the door that reads, "Zoup! will be closed permanently. Great Harvest Bakery & Cafe will be coming soon."
At the same time as learning about the loss of one eatery, we learn about the opening of another eatery.
A New Cafe and Bakery is Coming to Downtown Lansing
Great Harvest will be taking over that space.
Great Harvest currently has a Lansing location on West Saginaw Hwy and one in Okemos on Grand River Ave. Both locations serve a multitude of sweet and savory breads, rolls, muffins, scones, cookies, and more.
There's no specific word on when Great Harvest plans on opening the Downtown Lansing location, just a general "coming soon" posted to the door to the building and the website.
Great Harvest has put up a covering on the windows showing pictures of what we can expect from the soon to be bakery and cafe; sweet and savory breads, sandwiches, soup, coffee, flatbreads, salads, and more.
