Fenton Man Wins Big Playing Michigan Lottery Lucky For Life
A last-minute decision to purchase a Michigan Lottery ticket paid off for a Fenton man.
The lucky winner, Matthew Russell, won $25,000 a year for life playing Lucky for Life. Like most lottery winners seem to do, Russell took a lump sum payout of $390,000.
Russell matched the five white balls drawn on June 30th, 2024 - 06-09-12-24-32. As you can imagine, he was thrilled to discover he had indeed hit the lotto,
'I wasn’t going to play Lucky for Life that day, but I was driving by the store on my way home and decided at the last minute to stop and buy a ticket.
The next day, I called the Michigan Lottery’s winning number hotline, and when all my numbers were read off, I shouted: ‘Heck yeah!’ I instantly felt numb, and I still do weeks later!'
The winning ticket was bought at AC Holdings LLC, located at 10440 Highland Road in Hartland.
Mr. Russell,57, plans to save his lottery winnings as a retirement cushion. Talk about a nice sense of security for your golden years.
Whenever I hear about local lottery winners, I feel tempted to buy lottery tickets, although I don't play every day—mostly just the big Mega Millions or Powerball jackpots.
The most I have ever won playing the Michigan Lottery was $200 on an instant ticket. What about you, what is the most money you have won playing the lottery?
Also, if you were to win big, would you remain anonymous if you could? I wouldn't. If I won a couple of million bucks, everyone would know about it.
Hey, someone is going to win the lottery. Why not you?
