Severe storms in Michigan recently have left many people without power, and one house split in half. Yes, you read that right.

As you will see in the video below, a Union Pier home was hit by a falling tree. The Detroit Free Press posted the video and referenced that the house was unoccupied.

If you were dealing with a power outage after the last few days of Michigan storms, be glad that is all you had to worry about.

Can you imagine having no power and having your house split in half by a falling tree? If that were the case, you do have every right to complain.

All kidding aside, the recent storms have been intense. It's too soon to stress about winter in Michigan, or is it?

According to the Holland Sentinel, the Farmers Almanac is predicting a cold Michigan winter (duh). Residents of the Great Lakes State can expect snow and rain to begin in November, followed by frigid cold temperatures.

Sounds like a typical Michigan winter weather prediction to me.
