What Michigan Farmers Market is Ranked Best in America?

Earning national kudos this year is a charming downtown farmer's market in a busy college town. The 100+-year-old Ann Arbor Farmers Market landed at #5 on the list of the "10 Best Farmers Markets Across the Nation".  With more than 8,600 registered in the USDA Farmers Market Directory, that's a pretty impressive showing. Here's what caught the eye of USA Today and its readers;

"You're sure to buy local at this market, with producer-only stalls featuring vendors from Michigan. A bounty of fresh produce, cheese, and eggs are joined by handmade ceramics, soaps, and candles for sale at this 100-plus-year-old market, which is open Saturdays year-round, as well as Wednesdays in the summer".

The market, with over 125 vendors on hand,  is open year-round with varying days and hours, so be sure to check their website for details before planning a visit. Trust us, it's well worth the drive.

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
